Sheffield City of Culture 2013

The first meeting of the bid for Sheffield as the City of Culture 2009 was held at the Millenium Gallery on Monday 23 rd November 2009.
The was well supported by many organisations both private and commercial as well as individuels such as ourselves all of whom were there with the same aim of wanting to make it happen.
As to be expected this was to outine the aspects of the bid and gain imput from the organisations as to where it was felt it should go.
Obviously many ideas were submitted and outlines provided and it hoped that these will be taken on board, after all its not much point asking for ideas and direction from the people who are going to make it happen, namely the public if its just ignored, however this is a defeatist attitude and has no place in the enthusiasum of those present which from the turn out and flow of information will not happen, so having got all negitivity out of the way we await the result of the initial shortlist expected in December.
